And if so, how fricked am I?

Just the bodies in the attic starting to putrefy.

Is there a leak in your roof, or is your a/c pan overflowing...?

Looks like you've got a leak

No. It's dry and wipes off like a powder. You can kinda see where I ran my fingers across it and wiped some of it away

I would also add to check the humidity in your house as well.

Spray it with a little bleach water. Dry & spray with kiltz. Good to geauxx

Maybe your a/c is sweating and then drying by the time you get to it?

You sure are one trashy son of a bitch.
Look like mold. That that your air intake? Looks like your pan might have a leak.
Just clean it up and paint over it.

first find the leak in your roof and get that fixed

It's a vent for an old attic fan that isn't operational. The mold, or whatever it is, is on both sides. I just took a pic of the worst side

This should be common sense, sweetheart.

Have you not noticed it getting like this for the last few weeks ?
Posted on 8/9/15 at 2:05 pm to djangochained
First I've noticed it but admittedly I don't walk through my hall and look up very often
Posted on 8/9/15 at 2:08 pm to GeauxxxTigers23
There is only one way.
Posted on 8/9/15 at 2:14 pm to GeauxxxTigers23
first if all that's terrible paint job. Second, where the frick is your fire alam and why isn't it where's it supposed to be?
Posted on 8/9/15 at 2:17 pm to tgrbaitn08
I was putting a new one up when I notices the mold. And quit making fun of my house man. This is a serious question.

I recently bought some kilz primer from Amazon for about $19 due to mold above my shower on the drywall. They say that does the trick
Posted on 8/9/15 at 2:21 pm to tgrbaitn08
At least it's not purple and rust
Posted on 8/9/15 at 2:21 pm to Paige
Yeah I hate it when my drywall starts to rust
