Another board I visit (not sports or LSU related) has people saying there is no gas for 40 miles around Nashville. I am going to Nashville Tuesday for a convention. Can anyone confirm what is going on?

Thank you in advance.

It is hard to find gas in most of middle Tennessee right now. Pipeline burst and is causing downline shortages.

The search engine for this site is broken and causing a gas shortage.

You should fuel up immediately and stock up as much as possible before another thread is started and Chicken starts rationing threads.

I find it absolutely crazy that a single pipeline can go down and cause gasoline shortages for a whole section of the country....yet our government is steadily working to prevent companies from building new ones. gotta wonder what the hell our "leaders" are thinking...

Colonial Pipeline experienced a line break. This line supplies most of the South via it's breakout tanks and lateral lines and the Eastern Seaboard. Around 6,000 BBLs of gas were put on the ground.

There are plenty of lateral lines to supply the region, but injecting into these lines is slower than pumping down CPL which runs at 54,000 barrels per hour at its maximum rate...for those of you who don't know, is fricking fast as shite.

Pipeline burst in Alabama and has caused shortage, along with everyone in Nashville running to get gas on Friday and Saturday due to panic. I live in Franklin/Brentwood and there was no gas to be had at four or five stations in my area on Friday night and Saturday. Sam's is the only place that had gas because you have to be a member. It is a big problem!

One of my does in Atl said they are having the same issue. She had to go to 3 gas stations before she found one with gas and all they had was regular. It was a QT station

legalizing price gouging would solve that issue and motivate gas companies to ship in gasoline ASAP

Just drove through the Boro and found 3 gas stations with gas for 2.20. Weird, some areas are blank though

Sams has a nationwide distribution system, rerouting trucks to help their members and pick up a few new ones is no big deal.
