That half hour after the final blowing of a well manicured lawn is indeed a pleasant feeling, quite gratifying for sure.

All I know is that I sandblasted the first summer out of high school in the SWLA sun and it sucked. I guess it’s kinda like mowing the grass. Thirty minutes is enough, it definitely looses its interest quickly.

I did this the summer before I graduated HS. Sandblasting and heli-arc welding.

Sandblasting inside a metal box in the hot sun, during one of the hottest summers on record, wearing a coat and hood. The only gratification I got was closing time.

Can agree! The “thump, thump, thump… boom, boom, boom” of a Mk.19 ain’t bad either.

A good zit is the best thing in the world.

While I love the ones that are clearly come to a head those under ground powder kegs that burst the mirror unexpectedly might be the GOAT>

I bought some lead ballast for wake board shite, 50 lbs, works like a charm and a hell of a lot cheaper than lead shot, it was smashed into flat discs but works great. Filled 2 of the caldwell bags to the top.

When I was working as Radiology Manager for a chain of surgery hospitals I sold/gave away almost literally a ton of worn out lead vests to a guy in FtWorth who was melting them down to reload ammo. He sold a LOT of it to the local constabulary in multiple jurisdictions.

I had rods put in my hand when I broke it.

When they took em out, oh man was that relieving.

My friend and I used to ride our bikes to the local gas station for the old tire weights. We would melt them down on my Coleman stove and make jig heads and other fishing supplies. I'm sure breathing lead fumes wasn't the best idea, but we were 13.
