re: Is there anything better than a 98 Pontiac Bonneville?

I do have a smart car, but it’s useless because I take my jet or chopper everywhere. But it’s there if I need it, and is indeed environmentally friendly.

My MIL had two of those. They didn't have any "finesse" to them but they were reliable cars. She put well over 150K miles on them and they were both purchased new.

I don't know what the Chevy and Buick versions (Lucerne?) were but the Pontiac's were good cars.

Not sure why Pontiac was considered white trash cars and Chevy's we're not.

The 3.6L is a good engine, at least after they fixed the timing after 2015 or so, depending on the model. But before they put cylinder deactivation on it. They have so many variants of that motor that it’s hard to tell.

The Buick 3800 V6 is still one of the most reliable engines ever made. And I strongly suspect that the block is based on a 305ci Chevy V8 with two cylinders lopped off the end.

It's not. The Buick 3800's origins were back in the 60's.

The 4.3 V6 used in trucks was 3/4 of a 350.

I believe GM put the same v6 in the bonnevile as the Olds Intrigue. Not alot still out there due to blown head gaskets due to dexcool design.

99 Olds Alero with sunroof, spoiler, allow wheels, leather interior, v6.

My mom had a 97 sun fire gt with the 2.4 and a 5speed manual when I was in hig school , I drove it for a little while after my 5.0 got totaled, now it wasn’t the 5.0 but man that thing could move.
