Being 6 isn't an experience. Your dad bringing you with him to the hardware store every other week is. So the smell of lumber can be nostalgic. It brings back those memories with him. It's not "being 6".

I will say this, when I think of him, I think Hook, Aladdin. He was a pretty vile comic who was an alcoholic drug abuser. I can't celebrate that or how he gave up. Especially at 63. It's like come on, man. You're like one foot in the grave already. Stick it out.

Well even more so. Pathetic. It's not like he wasn't loved or had support

While it is sad that he left his family in this way, I personally am not affected by this because I didn't know him. I enjoyed some if his work and I definitely appreciated his effort for the troops and sick kids.
That's it, that's the list
I was more affected by Phil Hartman's murder because of how terrible it was.

Down vote.
Because you're a frickboy, and nobody else likes you.

Upvote, I enjoyed some of his movies and stand up. Seriously though why give a flying frick that this pussy selfishly left his family. Here is hoping they are better off without him more than likely they will. I think I'll go watch flubber now. Give me a fricking break. I wish he'd have made a movie called hot cum so some of these people could shove it down each other's throats. Thank you for this thread.

I never want to here that someone was a coward and killed themselves.

It's sad but I'm not hurt by it.
I can agree with this. Hate to lose his talent, enjoyed his work, but his passing hasn't effected me.
I do get annoyed with all the people who feel it necessary to respond to his death tho. Unless you knew him personally, I don't see how it should matter to you.

I am way more concerned about our military who return to this country and in deep depression take their lives.
Suicide is sad in every case. The fact that our media has went out of bounds with this coverage just reveals how journalism has changed and their priorities are out of whack

I am with you. I never really was a fan...and even stated as much while he was still living. He did great work in some of his movies; there is no denying that. However, I absolutely could not stand to watch him give interviews on shows like Letterman or Leno. He was always going 100 miles a minute like he was coked up...or just trying tooooo hard to be funny. I would have to turn the channel because it was just unwatchable.
nail on the head...
mediocre stand up, terrible interview, decent to good actor... sad the way he went out, but in the end, it doesn't affect me personally at all, so...
Posted on 8/13/14 at 6:12 am to oVo
Not only does it not affect me one bit, I find it incredibly sad that 80% of the country reacts the way that they do.

The worlds priorities are so fricked up. It is extremely rare that we even hear the names of our soldiers who die in some shithole fighting against terrorism. And then a celebrity kills himself or overdoses and America mourns their deaths.

Not Williams fault but it bothers me how much of they have praised him after taking his own life vs the lack of support for our soldiers that give theirs.
