Yes, in a way. I miss doing things, the gym, the sporting events, relatives, etc. but, I grew up in Louisiana in the 50-60s and besides riding a bike, throwing rocks, fishing, and shooting a BB Gun, it was boring. So, here we are and we have the Internet, and FaceTime, meds to help with depression and sleep. We should survive!

I’m honestly not trying to be cavalier here, but a change of scenery might do wonders. Nola is a dirty run down place, and you might not even notice it until you go elsewhere. Try a place with some natural beauty or at least smoother streets with fewer hobos.

OP get a Kindle Paperwhite and download the Libby app and sync it with your local library.

There are a shitload of great books out there waiting to be read. It's a way to get outside and travel without leaving your home.

Libby is free and you check books out and send them straight to your Kindle. Paperwhite is good for the eyes. Picked up two used ones of eBay.

It's amazing.

Get outside as you do now. You have a baseball glove? I bet someone near you would like to play catch. Just wash your hands after and y'all are more than 6 feet apart. Me and the kids play catch probably 3-4 times a day. When I wear one kid out another takes their place.

You can't give up. That's too easy. God didn't design us to give up. If someone holds your head under water your body's instinct is to fight. We were built to rage against the dying of the light.

This is really good advice in general. I just got my mom set up with an online library account. I’ve been streaming audiobooks through my library for the past couple months. No need to pay for audiobooks or podcasts.

I’m a veteran with a pretty bad case of PTSD. Everything that I do to cope with it is shut down. I feel you man. I’m willing to talk if you need an ear. Anytime!
