Is there anyone on here with anxiety or depression, who is having a hard time?

How are you coping? I haven't been able to go to the gym, I haven't been able to lift weights, I haven't had contact with my grandparents, I have hit a wall, I am incredibly depressed, I got for two hours walks, but there's no one else out.

I get crippling anxiety when Im hungover. (Hangover anxiety) And i got trashed last night, so today has been rough. I get shortness of breath and just an overall uncomfortable feeling. It’s gotten so much worse over the last year or so.

I have xanax and take a small amount to kinda get me through it.

I've been drinking far too much since the shutdown, I need an escape, yet there are none.

People often neglect things around the house that need to be done. Put on music or a youtube or a podcast you can listen to without watching. Make a list of things you need to do around the house. Reorganizing, spring cleaning, deep cleaning, dusting. etc etc etc. Start doing said tasks. If you have a house theres the outside as well. Good work and accomplishments and checking things off the list will help.

I've tried the menial tasks, and I am ashamed voicing my problems on here, but I have never been so consumed with darkness, I will try to find more things to be done around the house.

It’s a sad time man. And this virus has gotten to the point where I now have 2 friends with a family member that are on their death bed dealing with not being able to breathe from this damn thing. Both are 60+ but ive been dreading when the time comes when itll start effecting people that I know.

But yeah man, take advantage of exercising. Ive been going for a run pretty much every day to get over the cabin fever. I miss my friends too. Its been a lonely couple weeks. Hang in there though.

It's rough, but I'm holding up.

Get outside, do something. Just focus on anything else.

I've recently taken up disc golf since just about everything is closed besides that. It's a good way to get outside for a few hours and take your head off of things.

I need a hobby, I live in New Orleans and there is nothing open, I've even tried cooking extravagant dishes, with my wife gone, I am lost.

What did you mean when you said your wife is gone? On a trip gone, divorced gone, or gone gone?

Do they have her quarantined? Aka is she is sleeping in a remote location near the hospital and you dont get to see her?

I think she's sleeping in the hospital, I don't know, all I know is that I can't contact her, I fear the next call will be informing me she's on a ventilator

Just can't think like that, bud. But as someone who experiences crippling anxiety, I know that's easier said than done...
