Is there any point in reporting solicitors who ignore the "do not call" registry?

I know they spoof numbers, are usually based overseas, and generally are untouchable but if they are say a realtor offering to buy your house, they have to have some kind of legal entity established in the USA correct?

You need to make the experience unpleasant for the caller. Try singing Frank Sinatra songs. They won't be able to hang up fast enough

I’ve started telling the Gospel of Christ when I can answer.
I use to hate when they called. Pissed me off. Now, don’t care too much. They hang up between 5-15 seconds into it.

I do all sorts of crazy stuff to them. Sometimes I just groan until they hang up. Sometimes I say, could you wait just a moment and then lay down the receiver. Sometimes I say could you wait and then yell at a nonexistent wife to shut the hell up before I come beat the sjit out of you again.
Sometimes if they ask how I am, I give them the broke and dying from syphilis sad story. Sometimes ask them if they are the police and then refuse to believe them. Fun to see how long they will stick with me.

This. If I don't recognize the number or someone's name doesn't pop up on my screen, I don't answer it. If it's important, they will leave a voice mail I can listen to when the mood strikes me.

There is nothing effective you can do.
If I happen to get one, I pretend I am old and can't hear them well. I ask them to wait a moment while I get to the other phone so I can hear them. I just set the phone down and they wait a couple minutes before hanging up. At the very least I cost them some time.
