Many moons ago I was in that area and had to use a payphone.
I was a parts runner for an industrial company between Plank & Scenic for a few years in college. 96 & 97. I drove around NBR all day. Honestly never really had any issues surprisingly. It was hood then too.
But I'd have never been in that area at night if I could help it, even almost 30 years ago, and it's worse now.

I don’t know if y’all know but the police don’t necessarily question people at the scene of a overdose
Of course they do, what are you talking about. You think the police don’t know who does what in that area? Where he OD’d was likely the same spot that drugs are being sold at which is exactly why the body was moved.

I think it`s safer no matter where you are if you are around other people and potential witnesses.
That was not my case and I was even worried before I even stopped there, hence I was packing.
Vacant parking lot and there was 3 of them and one of me, and there was no one else around.

I don’t know people are acting like if there’s a dead body in your front yard the cops won’t ask questions. If you’re in a house full of drugs/drug users the last thing you’d want is cops rolling by.

Sounds like this man may have been partying too hard and OD’d and folks panicked and dumped him. A tale as old as time with a junkie.

Exactly, like finding a white middle aged guy dead in a north Baton Rouge living room won’t raise some questions. That shite will get a house turned inside out once the cops show up.
I can promise you some stash houses in that area moved around, hell a number of people prob knew right where that body was hidden after the neighborhood talk going around throughout the two week period

So BR is good, crack houses in BR not good. Noted.

WBRZ says that the body was found rolled up in a rug at an abandoned facility. How the hell would foul play not be involved with a dead body that has been rolled up and dumped somewhere?!??

Think they are saying rolled up is not the cause of death. Wasn’t shot or stabbedd. Likely OD’d and people dumped his body. Whoever he was partying with didn’t want any mess on their hands

Did they find him near where they found Dusty Bambarger or was that on the other side of I-110?

Anyone questioned by the cops at an NBR crackhouse will also have their name ran for warrants, and guaranteed, the vast majority of people in the crack house would be going to jail.

And this was not at all his first bender on a work trip. 2-3 days typical and come back tail tucked and go to rehab
Why would they keep sending him out? It’s like the generals in the First World War, just keep charging that gun line, it will workout this time I’m certain.

Marriage is hard.
Also: APB lookout for crack houses with one very clean 8’ x 10’ section of flooring.

Wouldn’t wrapping a dead body, moving it, and dumping it qualify as getting a “Mess on their hands”?

I never realized how many people are too dumb to understand the separation between unlawful disposal of human remains and murder.

Yes but also in the state of LA you can get tried for murder if giving or selling drugs to someone who ODs and dies.

No… I know you think it goes like that.. but it doesn’t… 90’s era crackhouses don’t exist in that capacity anymore… now in rural areas yeah everybody probably in the same trailer…
