Besides, the real question is: Since th time Boomers turned up in such mass quantities (1946-1964), has there been a better generation (if more self-critical) born upon the face of the earth? I don't think so.

The WW2 generation was great while the war was going on but then like 20 years later they enacted a lot of laws that changed the country for the worse. It's their fault IMO.

Exactly it wasn't the Baby Boomers that started Social Security, Medicare, The Great Society, etc.
That was the so called greatest generation that got the ball rolling on our entitlement welfare system and deficit spending.

'46-'64 is what the demographers call the Baby Boom. However, the years can go a few either way.

I don't know any that didn't go to college. I will concede, however, that many of the free college gimme and worthless degree programs began with the Boomers.
BTW, I'm not saying the Boomers are perfect. We're not, but some of us really raised some fricked up kids! However, some of us have raised some remarkable young men and women who are doing great and wonderful things.

In 2009, 41.3% of 18-24 year olds were enrolled in College.

I agree. And on the micro-level there are wonderful and terrible things about each generation.
The debt that the boomers have saddled this country with and passed down to many generations beyond their lifetime is one of the most selfish things that could have ever occurred.
