Since we're discussing anecdotal evidence, what is with boomers reminding everyone how many "years experience" they have vs. what they've actually done?

I understand the stats are similar between the two decades, but the mentality that separates them is just crazy. Just the fear mongering was out of control and the message to defend the war and troops at any cost, and a greatly inflated budget for the military that makes me think of the 90s as a more peaceful time than last decade.

Like Scruffy said earlier, they should take y'all SS and put it towards paying off the debt.

You're right, and I do hate to come off like that, but I've been thinking this even of my own generation since I was in college. Sometimes, there's just a lot of truth to it that you can't ignore, and in some ways we have improved a great deal. It's the bad and especially what I see as a real lack of social skills that worries me most due in large part to technology that we all have become addicted to and dependent upon. People just don't know how to talk to people anymore, and that's some fricked up shite right there. I run into far too many younger people who seem real uncomfortable in just carrying on basic chit chat, and it's just not natural to people anymore. We're far too enthralled in what's going on on our phones than the people in front of us. The other night I was watching an act at a bar and I looked around to see people of all ages not talking with one another, but engrossed in their smart phones. I think they are making us all dumb asses.

Not possible. These job parameters change every 30 days. I am lucky enough to not have to have a degree. My wife in the mortgage business does not have to have a degree. You just have to have experience in your field. Yet this is changing(not for the good)
Books can only teach you so much. You have to live in the environment of your job parameters to learn who can and can't pay the bills.
This is where experience greatly out weights credits.

No problem. Isn't the first or last time your generation has fricked us. I guarantee when some of you fricks are still dying in a nursing home 50 years from now and we're bitching about not having social security, you'll still call us an entitled generation simply for expecting to have the same thing given to us that was given to yall.
