compact/midsized trucks are not much less expensive than a full sized truck. The resale value of the smaller trucks plummet. A full sized truck holds value much better.
You obviously have never owned a Tacoma.

I feel like you work with some trashy women.
But in regards to your question, I have no opinion on compact trucks.

I personally don't see the point. The cost is almost the same. Mpg is almost the same. Yet with full size you have much more room. To each is own.

Do you work with high school girls?

They just look a little funny to me. But even the "compact" ones these days look pretty good (Tacoma).

No, they are just prices high enough to where you can get a full sized one for slightly more. IIRC, a decked out Canyon costs just under $40k. With rebates and at the right time, you can get a Sierra SLT for $40-45k.
Until manufacturers lower prices of compact trucks or increase mpg significantly, they'll continue to sell more bigger trucks (they probably make more on those anyway)

Funny thing is, "compact" trucks now days are about the same size as a full size 10-15 years ago.

No worse than the stereotype of douchebags driving jacked up 4x4's with shiny 22's.

saw a legit good looking 4 door Colorado yesterday. I've seen many of the new ones before and they just didn't do anything for me. This one was beautiful truck. It was the GMC Canyon. My bad.
this is it's big brother albeit not by much, the Sierra.

Canyon but you are right. Looks way better than the colorado to me

I like the canyon minus the back windows and back glass. Looks like it's squished. Will probably buy that or a Tacoma next though.

This
I drive a 4Runner, but if I was going to get a truck, I would get a Tacoma. Full Size trucks are ridiculous for daily driver use. I wouldn't want to park that thing in a garage downtown.
