Not as shitty as you think.

Scruffy would do pretty much any legal job as long as the money is right.

Is it really that bad? They make pretty decent money and I don't see how it could be stressful

If I'm hungry enough, there is no job I wouldn't do for money. Anyone saying otherwise is a fricking liar.

If you're hungry, you'll suck dick for a cheeseburger. The definition of "hungry" varies and some of you will have nose in pubes faster than others.

Hired a guy once that maintained cell towers, long range antennas, etc. Mostly he changed light bulbs 100’ + in the air. He was making 80k a year doing it and I hired him at 24k + commission after one of his coworkers died from falling. There’s one I wouldn’t do.

Another is hospital orderly. I can’t take vomit or people crapping themselves or most body fluid.

This. My wife is a nurse and I told her I'd have to make NFL type money per year to deal with that.

Do we get to go back to a time before we started our current job to consider it as well?

From the cars coming and going from your trailer while you are at work, your wife must be making bank.

Notice I said "shitty". LOL

I've seen some of the poor managers at a Burger King or Taco Bell bad location just have to deal with some really dumb employees and then constantly have to get chewed out by customers, etc.

One thing I swore I would never do is go to work in a crappy country for my oil and gas work. When I get closer to retirement age, I may just say screw it and go. Part of the calculation for our pension bases payout on your last two or three years of salary or something like that.

Yeah, I've heard those drivers generally hate their jobs these days. I had three or four people I knew that drove and several years ago it was a much better job and they were inclined to stay because of pay and benefits.
I think they have all moved onto other jobs in the last five years.

I'd rather do that where you have protective gear than be an ironworker walking around on beams without a harness. Or even a roofer. I hate ladders. OTOH I've done rock climbing and as long as I was tied in, no problem.
