Is there a decent rule of thumb for lbs vs pants size?

As in, if I'm wearing X size pants, how many pounds would it take for me to get to one x-2 size roughly?
20-25 sound like a good guess?

probably closer to 15 lbs. (that's how it was for me anyway).
at 195 I wore a 35 or 36
at 165 I wore a 31 or 32.

It think it would be less than that. 10 to 15 lbs and I think you are in a new pants size. 25 lbs ago I was wearing 4 inches less in the waist. frick I've gotten fat since high school.

I weigh the same (if not less) than in high school. Pants size went from 31-32 to a 34. Has nothing to do with weight, just where your weight is located

I was 165# in high school and I am now 163# now almost 10 years later

215
Want to get to 185ish
Wearing 38 now and they're getting pretty loose on me. Not so loose that they'll fall right off but certainly not tight.

For women it's 10 pounds per size. Of course we have a lot less sizes. I wonder why that is

Well 215 certainly isn't fat unless you're 5'9. How tall are you?

Just because you weigh 215 doesn't mean it's not fat

depends on body type,,
where you carry your weight
where you carry your weight

Well if he was 6'0 215 id say that's not fat......however he's 5'9 215.
That's overweight.
That's overweight.

The rule of thumb is that if you have to ask this question you are a fat arse
Posted on 9/13/14 at 5:34 pm to Powerman
I carry most of my weight right above my waist, so it usually takes about 10-15lbs to go from 34 to 33.
I'm 5'9", 200lbs, 34 waist in Jeans.
