If Andrew Jackson is removed from the 20, it should be because the fact that he is even on the 20 is a massive and intentional insult to a man who spent much of his political career fighting against Central Banks and paper money. Taking him off of the 20 is not an insult to Jackson, leaving him on there is. This is a man who believed that only hard, silver or gold, currency was real. You couldn't inflate gold. You could stick it between your teeth and know it was real. Paper can be printed.

He also believed that Central Banks were evil and controlling politicians and rigging the economy. He fought a war with the Bank of the United States, abolishing it with a victory that would last until the Federal Reserve was established 70 years later.

He also didn't believe in debt. He believed that a country's finances should be run like a family's. A little debt in the hard times that must be paid off when times are good. With this in mind, he paid off the national debt, completely. He is still the only president to ever do this.

Despite the fact that he owned slaves, engaged in ethnic cleansing of Eastern Native American tribes, tacitly supported an illegal immigrant invasion and subsequent revolution in Texas, illegal invasion of West Florida (while still a general) leading to the Spanish cession of the Florida territories, establishment of the Spoils System, ect. He has a complicated legacy filled with both peaks, valleys, light and dark moments.

He does not belong on the $20. Not because he was an evil, slave-holding, racist, genocidal maniac or any other hyperbolic reason, but because he would never have wanted to be there in the first place. His face on the $20 is a reminder of his legacy, that America failed to learn the lessons he tried to teach us in his victory against Central Banking and fiat currency.

I guess it's a good thing I don't carry cash on me very often, unless when necessary.

They might want to blow up Mt.Rushmore, tear down the Washington monument, and burn down the capital building.

They need to replace AJ with Obama on the $20 IMO

I'm fine with the battle flag going away, but as soon as they start trying to revise history, then I think it's time for a backlash.
