Jesus didn’t make everyone else pay for the free fish he was giving away, dipshit.

Because Christians have to be absolutely perfect or they're not qualified to be Christians, right?

In the story, he was hosting what amounts to a lawn party. Hosts for such events are obliged to provide grub for attendees. Next.

Depends. It's not a how-to book or a book to be taken literally in many cases.

I’m just saying gotcha threads revolving around bible verses are stupid because the Bible doesn’t always take the same stance on every issue in every book. The Bible shows the evolution of the religion over time. Jesus’s teachings are very different from those of the Old Testiment in how they are intended to be applied. “Judge not, lest ye be judged for judgement is reserved for thine father in heaven,” and “let he who is without son cast the first stone” are pretty radical departures from Deuteronomy and Leviticus.

Jesus wasn't the government and believed in free will...the give a man a fish proverb is used in an anti "entitlement" argument which does not contradict any of Jesus' teaching...I have no problem giving my neighbor in need food, clothing, or shelter; I have a problem when my government forces me to

If you get remarried after a no-fault divorce, you are doomed to hell for perpetual adultery and not qualified to be a Christian.

Divorce is a unilateral decision that is usually initiated by the woman in the relationship. A man can not believe in divorce all he wants, but if his spouse wants a divorce, he’s getting a divorce. There’s nothing he can do to stop it

According to the big man, he has to remain celibate or else he is an adulterer.

Jesus told his disciples to give up their possessions and follow him. He didn’t tell them to take other peoples possessions by force to give away. There’s a world of difference between entitlement and charity. Charity is a gift given and received voluntarily out of love. Entitlement is a compulsion taken by force and received with only contempt.

Jesus has abilities that we do not, and will never have.

After all, one of Jesus' most celebrated miracles is providing free food to the masses. He gave them fish.

And, did he not provide free health care to the blind man?

And the lepers?

Is Jesus the government? You don’t seem to know the difference between being voluntarily charitable and the government forcibly taking away from you.

Yup. Bible teaches moderation, not temperance.

He’s a relatively prolific troll on the poliboard.

Progressives aren’t too dumb to understand, they’re purposefully obtuse, intellectually/morally dishonest, and/or willfully ignorant.
