Someone said she worked for a law office that had a lawyer on some commission in Houston.

Good question.

I'll read the other thread to find out and then post my findings here to let you know what I found out.

Some girl last Friday as the storm was making landfall posted some inside info that Houston was going to flood. The local authorities copied her post saying not to believe false information. People were calling for her job...

This I think. All false, they were predicting 50 inches.

Looks like she got Snowdened.

Pay attention people. These are modern day heroes that risk their livelihood and in some cases, freedom, to protect the welfare of strangers while good sheep follow the herd.

That's a shame. Hard to say what should have happened. But, this woman should be vindicated. There's nothing wrong with what she posted.

She's trying to tell people to evacuate. There's nothing wrong with that.

113 people died during Rita. 107 were evacuating. Evacuating a metro of nearly 7 million people is not feasible. The correct decision seems to not be a full scale evacuation.

Acting like it's a coverup is disingenuous as best and fear mongering at worst.

That's her point. The city wasn't going to tell people to evacuate because of that. She's telling people they should anyway because it's gonna be bad.

fricking this. I'm so sick of people saying "oh bad shite was coming, why didn't you just tell everyone to leave.

Anyone who went through the evacuation for Rita will tell you the correct decision was made. That evacuation was an absolute nightmare. People in traffic for over 24 hours. People running out of gas and dying from heat exhaustion on the highway. And then the storm turned north of us and it was all for nothing anyway.
