You know that line to the ice maker on the fridge that’s about the size of a straw?
Imagine a tiny nick the size of this letter right here
l
That slowly slowly trickled behind the walls and under the cabinets, pooling in the low spots, soaking slowly through the foam padding under the flooring until it spread through the whole house and became so saturated it started shooting up between the floorboards.
Probably had been going on for weeks before I saw the signs

That sucks.
The Gates used to be a nice complex. I just looked at their website and a 1BR starts at around 1k so I'm sure it's still fine. When a complex seems cheap and a bargain is where you'll find problems in BR.
If you don't like the Gates, the Enclave is really nice. It's about 1/4 of a mile down Corporate. Tons of talent at the pool during the summer.

I lived there for a year. It's a fine place, never had any problems.

I lived there for two years, one bedroom with an attached garage. Loved my setup and the area.
A girl died in her bathtub above me about a month before my lease ran up and I bought a house. Flooded my walls and caused some major damage. They wouldn’t give me my deposit back due to the damage despite them coming in my apartment to assess the day after this happened. Charged me an insane amount of fees.
I sued the property management company and won. It was a total waste of my time. I wouldn’t recommend them based on that.

Kind of rude of her to leave the water running

It’s close to Bawell St, so just be aware of that.
