That's impossible...no amount of small unnecessary purchases will ever add up to a meaningul amount (even when compounding interest is considered over long periods of time). Just ask Mingo and Downshift.

No one said that. Care to any post anymore statistics that directly refute the point you’re trying to make in the same post?

I think we've got a couple dozen references to "if I just didn't get a Starbucks I could buy a house" in this thread. Don't be obtuse.

read, on this board, a lot of insurers are leaving S LA. Is that factual?
Southern Mississippi too.
I have usaa but they dont write policies anymore even if you are north of i10 a pretty lengthy way.
I did try to get a quote when I first got down here but they wanted an absurd amount of money so I went to another company

These same people think eating out 15 times a week on that salary is totally normal and doesn’t warrant a second thought. They’re retarded.

Why exactly should someone spend their entire life slaving away to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a home that they can't take with them when they die?
Here's the thing, no one actually owns anything. You're borrowing it while you're alive. I guess if it makes you feel better to pay a mortgage instead of a rent, then whatever. By the time it's paid for you won't have much time left here...
You don't know who your kids are, do you?

This chart would suggest we peaked around 2001 and have been declining steadily since then.

The rest of the economy is doing fine because both the consumer and our government are spending more money than they should.
Well that certainly makes me feel better.

Don't disagree, but economies are measured on current numbers. I agree we are kicking the can down the road, but currently have a decent economy.
Fyi, I would support a requirement to have a balanced budget, but don't believe we will see it in my lifetime.
