Ordinarily, I'd agree. There are always gonna be grifters.
However, the authorities tend to take a much dimmer view of things when people pull this shite using an emergency as cover.

She tried to work with these rescuers last year and they ran her arse off because I assume she was trying to order them around after 5 mins of being there. They ended up getting the attention and she was left in the shadows.

This woman is 30 years old and has never had an actual job. She is on food stamps and Medicaid. She depends on her parents to support her. 30 years old. And she honestly think she matters? She views the ridicule of thousands of people as her being important.

Maybe TM can find the post again.
It was basically a rant about how she "worked with the CN" last year and knows everything about their "organization" as a result. She said she was working with them to organize rescues but they didn't want her help. Something to that effect.
It was pretty easy to translate what the truth really was through her typical histrionics. She showed up, wanted to run the show for the attention, a bunch of baws told her to frick off, they got the attention instead of her, here we are today.

She does run a for profit, international rescue and relief corporation with over 50 satellite offices and zero coffee makers.

It was mentioned earlier that the Cajun Navy design a flag. I'm all for this.
After Dunkirk, the Dunkirk Jack was designed and could only be flown by ships that participated in the evacuation of the BEF. That included all ships from the Royal Navy down to the "little ships." There are only a handful of those left today authorized to fly the Dunkirk Jack.
If the Cajun Navy has a good list of those who participated in rescues last August and for Harvey, as well as boat registration numbers to verify, an emblem or flag for the Cajun Navy should be designed only for the boats that participated. That way, when you see them, you know it's legit and that boat is a small piece of Louisiana, and now Texas, lore.
