It’s not but it’s also something you shouldn’t say right now because of the likely backlash that’ll come from it. It sucks but it is what it is.

Have your wife bluntly, but compassionately ask your niece why she feels the way she feels. What does she think about the current national situation? What are her experiences? What does BLM mean to her?
I'd imagine that will clear up why she took issue with your wife's comment. It's pointless to ask anyone on here about it when her opinion is what clearly matters to your wife.

But roger, there is injustice within the system... not as much as in the past, but it really need to ALL go, and then, once that is achieved, yeah obviously the onus is absolutely all on them...
