Here's a photo of "Round the Corner" that I took in the early 80's.

Del Lago was where Ruth's is now. Phil's was on Gov't. Ollie?s Trolley was by the tracks on College. Anyone remember the name of the railroad car restaurant on College?

Bono's

Bono’s was great because they’d deliver any order - no minimum. That was important to a college student. Just like choosing your bank because you could get $5 minimum out of the ATM.

Pedro’s Special made by Angelo

And my favorite - Dragon Hall.

The Red Caboose. They had a drink called "The 3rd Rail" that was pretty potent.

Ruth’s was always Ruth’s as far as I know. I’m pretty sure Del Lago was in the Ninfas space, or whatever that place is now.

That Round the Corner pic rocks, though.

Ruth's was actually first on Airline before moving to its current location. That building was the airplane themed bar before it, hence the simulated plane windows in the entryway that they kept for years.

There was at least one other Bono's, I don't remember where

Seems like on Florida Blvd near Sherwood Forest. Total blank on exactly where.

Yeah it was still open in the early to mid 80s but was gone before the 90s as far as I remember.

Ruth Chris was the Cockpit Lounge. Yes, it was first on Airline Hwy. In 1977, both location were open.
