Anytime I get them, I feel like it's a 15 min wait at least.

Yes /thread

The problem is when people order the fried chicken. That catches them by surprise and it takes a solid 15 minutes for them to make some more. If people would stop ordering chicken, it would move a lot faster.

When I worked there they explained to me that despite the misconception, they are not technically fast food.

It takes 12 minutes for a batch of chicken, compared to 2 minutes for burgers. Also, if you have a special order, like no dark meat, you are guranteed a wait so that they dont mess up the count.

Go look it up, they never claim to be fast food. Although they do say Louisiana fast

The ones here are usually fast. But our chik-fil-a is the slowest.

You have to get in line at the drive thru first thing Monday morning so you can get your food before they close on Sunday.

Taco Bell on George O'neal may actually be slower than Popeyes.

Chicken takes 9 to 25 minutes to fry, and it isn't nearly as good after it sits for a while. Try calling and ordering ahead.

I grabbed my order from one worker at the same time I grabbed my change from another today at lunch. Went at 11:30 to beat the rush tho.

I waited 15 minutes for Popeye's on St. Charles this weekend.

It was worth every second. The best fried chicken I have had in years.

If it catches you by surprise that someone has ordered chicken at Popeyes, you're too stupid to even work at Popeyes. What the frick do you expect them to order, duck a l'orange?

If we're taking mental capacity, they're in the top 5.

I don't see how any local fast food chain could be worse than Jack in the Box. Slow, usually mess up the order, less than pleasant to customers, and the collective IQ of the entire typical crew might reach triple digits, being very generous.
