Tell him major in Finance. Go work for Edward Jones or one of those outfits once football is over. He will make bank and not have to do a damn thing.
They get wined and dined all the time by outside financial institutions and make money off other people’s money…the true American dream!

He’ll be on scholarship. Just needs to find something to study.
Why not make the most of an opportunity? Not saying the guy should be an engineer but at least something he could have a viable career in if needed.

Tell his little golden toe arse to sort it out himself.

Seems like something you’d learn OJT, so will having the degree be of value? It’s a pretty light Bachelors of Science…but the hands on side could be fun.
Go to the H&G board and scroll the first few pages. Pay attention to the number of threads with clueless people asking questions about yards, gardens, plants, landscaping, chemicals, etc.

This is good advice, wasted on OP but hopefully useful for someone else

That’s why I was looking into bachelors of science degrees.
It’s going to be tough for him to compete with the general student body (he would not be admitted to this school without sports), even with unlimited tutoring. Can’t bite off too much. Just trying to find something he’d like to study.

Personally, I'd look for a fringe degree or even trade school like plumbing and focus on irrigation and water conservation while learning the plant based biology . A lot of the courses I play on have areas that the fix seems very common sense and even low budget. The soil on the course gets hard packed which means you simply need to aerate and backfill with soil and overseed. Some areas get way too saturated while other areas are dead and dry. Anyways, I can ramble on more but personally I'd go into more of a biology degree program where he can learn what he'd need to know for golf course management, but isn't useless if he doesn't find that job he wants.
His son is on scholarship at an SEC school as a kicker, he just needs to find a degree path. I figured everyone would've known this by now

Accounting or finance if he could swing it. Not very hard at all.
Easiest route for someone like him maybe communications, marketing, or whatever TV/radio people do. Playing sports may parlay him easier into one of those roles.

You realize that stands for Bachelor of Science and tends to be a STEM degree

Why do they call it a bachelor degree if real men don’t go to college?

This is one of the dumbest threads I’ve ever seen on TD

Your kid is genuinely fricked

Sounds like a solid plan.
Be a Plant Baw, but rub elbows with the executives at the golf course and if that fails, start a landscaping bidness.

Passed that at Northsouth online spring 21 through summer 22.
Naw, that’s a weed growing indoctrination.

I'm not a professional, but there seems to be some codependency on your end and you seem to want to live through your son so bad. And this thread just seems like a condescending way of saying your son is gonna be in the NFL.

More or less any degree ending in the word, "studies," whether gender, climate, etc.
No employer is going to be impressed, and it marks the applicant as a probable management hassle.
