Is Northwestern SC a hidden gem of the southeast?

Greenville and the surrounding areas seems to be a very classy and clean for the most part.

The topography of that area sticks out. Weather is pretty seasonal and way better than most places in the south. The mountains in South Carolina are underrated imo and only 4 hours to the pretty good SC beaches. Demographics also checks out pretty good as well.

I had a great couple of days there a few years ago, but there's p!entry of places in the southeast that I have yet to visit.

I absolutely love upstate SC. I live about 15 minutes from Clemson campus. Lakes are great, mountains are great, awesome rivers, lots of good folks.

No, it's a shithole. Never move there. No redeeming qualities whatsoever.

And everyone is racist too.

It's a nice area but I think "hidden gem" is laying it on a little thick.

No, seriously, no one should ever want to live in the upstate. It's absolutely horrible. Terrible. The worst.

Stay away at all costs.

Unfortunately no, hipsters are slowly spreading throughout North Georgia, East Tenn, West NC, and NW SC.

Hipsters are going to do that everywhere. I was looking at that area for retirement in 10-15 years. Hope it's not spoiled by then.

My dad lived in Greenville for a while and it was awesome. It was a little wierd how every business looked the same (as in the Wendy's and the subway and the grocery, etc were all tan stone and green roof), and a little inconvenient that most things closed at like 7pm, but the tradeoff for a nice, peaceful town was worth it. Great golf for cheap in that area as well from what I remember.

Get your head out of your arse and maybe you could actually make a sensible response.
