The drop off lane/pick up lane is the absolute worse/worst.

Some reason business don’t make you carpool to work so not to create traffic problems...it’s America

Got to make it more interesting for yourself. I like to put on a bandana, bring the old IROC-Z, blast some Twisted Sister and troll the hot soccer moms. Kids hide in the back seat covered by the t-tops.

I don't get it

I didn't either until I had two kids in two different schools. Have to be at the first school early to be in the first wave out of car line and still barely make it to the second school on time. Miss the days of rolling in ten minutes past dismissal and pulling right up to the front.

Me too and it PISSSSSSES people off in my area. Go through four school zones during my school runs and there is at least one instance of car inches from my bumper with the driver gesticulating wildly. They don't stop at cross walks either.

Go do something besides just sit there in your car for an hour everyday

That helps you identify the kids you don't waste time on. If their parents are stupid enough to sit in line an hour to avoid sitting in line fifteen minutes once the line starts moving later, you know that kid has inherited the "stupid frick" gene and you maybe spend time on the other kids.

That what the buses are for, dumbass.

That sounds like it sucks.

Definitely making my kid and future kid ride the bus if I can help it so I don't have to do this.

I'm pretty sure CPS would be called on me if we did what my parents had to do with us as kids riding the bus and being home alone.

Not always an option. We live too close to be eligible for bus service for the first school (with the deep ditches, no shoulder, and a very busy winding roadway to cross so not walkable) and the second is a preschool so no bus service.

And would requiring kids ride to buses even help in an area like Baton Rouge with all the private schools? My area only has two private schools and two charters and none of them offer bus service.

Our kids luckily took the bus. When I’m in lake Charles for business I see the pickup line back up for miles.

I don’t have a problem with my kids being on a bus as I rode one. My issue is my kids go to different schools and they have to be there at 7:30. The bus comes by our house at 6:30. They get out of school at 2:45 but wouldn’t get home to nearly 4. That’s just dumb. Between the wife and I we just take them and pick them up. Plus I like making them listen to 80s hair metal on the way to school.

I mean for frick’s sake.

Bro, you don't even know how good you have it in SC

Imagine living in Baton Rouge where every white soccer mom drives Braylen and Kraylen to the private school across town.

You can literally see the impact of school commuters on the interstates in Baton Rouge by comparing volume on school days vs vacation days.

Everyone has to drop off/pick up their kid, even though the school bus passes right by the house.

We have our fair share of travel ballers in SC, hell Charleston area teams win a lot of those Dixie youth tournaments across the southeast.

Everyone wants to go 15 over or under and no one seems to understand that if your car isn’t functioning and you are not injured, you are allowed to move that sombitch off the driving lanes.

We keep building more houses and not a single new damn road.

fricking yankees and soccer moms.
