Is that bad? Or do you have to do something bad while drunk for it to be bad?

It seems a large number of people believe getting drunk is bad. I tend to believe things you do while drunk can be bad but just buzzing is not the issue. If you can hold your liquor then you are fine.

This sounds like the thought of a drunk person.

That depends on the individual’s moral compass.

I quit drinking a couple years back, and it was a real eye-opener. A high percentage of America's trashiness is alcohol-related. So yes, it's wrong to get drunk.

But this is America, so feel free to drink up.

Same here. It's only been about 6 months for me but I really enjoy going out now without getting hammered. A glass of bourbon or a craft beer to sip on and I don't feel like regret-filled dogshit the next morning. Can't wait until weed is legal; going out will be so much better.

There is drunk and there is shite faced.

Getting shite faced is for college kids, but alcohol doesn't effect everyone the same.

There are people who can drink a 6 pack every evening and it just "takes the edge off".

Some people drink socially.. And when they do, they drink enough to have fun. Which might mean they get a little drunk.. But why would someone drink alcohol just enough for it to not have any impact on them?

No. It’s wrong to do wrong things to other people. Find a balance, or be a nicer person. If you can’t, then don’t drink. If you can’t drink because of these reasons then be happy and don’t preach about it.
