Of course not, Trump told us it would disappear.

It's because we listened to the 2 years I mean 2 weeks to flatten the curve.

hasn’t vanished. There was just an article I read this morning on the increase in its presence in wastewater in the NYC area.

Oh so more people are getting it? Where is the mass hysteria about cases that “2 weeks to flatten the curve” morphed into.

Well Trump put us in a situation that made it last longer than it needed to.

Has anyone you know gotten covid recently?

One of my coworkers just got taken off of ECMO and life support today. She was a PT in our hospital and 51. Had a history of some auto immune stuff and it just wrecked her. So yeah there are still cases out there unfortunately.

Enjoy your break from Covid but remember mid-terms will be cranking up soon.

Also, was at the airport Tuesday and every single gotdamn soul in the place was masked save 10-15 people.

Trump did not take this seriously from the very beginning. He did not think we had to do significant testing. He cut funding to CDC and that culminated to what we had in early 2020.

At this point almost everyone has either had it, been vaccinated, or both.

Oreo was talking about the local and statewide shutdowns prolonging the virus.

He left it to the states to determine how they needed to handle the response. That's how it's supposed to work. He also fast tracked a vaccine that he never gets credit for.

CNN's death ticker magically disappeared 2 weeks after Biden took office then we had more people die under him than under Trump while we were told Biden finally had it under control.

Federal dollars dried up so it’s gone. Simple as that. There’s no more cities and states pushing it to be a big issue because they know there’s no payout at the end.

That approach was still a failure. You had some states that still couldn’t get adequate testing and PPE from the federal government and were left to get that stuff from other nations.

Likewise you had states who were given everything including hospital ships and gigantic tents for treating patients that never got used.

I've come to the conclusion that there must just be a sizable segment of the population who simply loathe NORMAL HUMAN/SOCIETAL EXISTENCE.

It was an avenue for people that don't have anything going in life to feel superior over others. It gave them easy targets to "team together and fight the fight."
