Probably only a matter of time, sadly. $$$$ rules.

Hope I'm wrong.

As packed as golf courses are, quite a few in Austin and Houston areas have either sold off to developers in recent years or minimized 27 hole courses down to 18. They must not be making as much money as it appears.

Joined a club last year. Public golf has become too much of a pain in the arse. Played with a co-worker at Cypresswood-Traditions last weekend. $120 for a 5:50 round. No thanks.

There is definitely some scuttlebutt. I’m hoping that’s all it is.

They just shitcanned the LSU course. I liked it no matter how shitty it was. I hope WEB survives.

I live by Webb and just started playing golf as a second-time beginner. If you could call what I did playing golf 40 years ago. Webb is exactly as I remember it. Hope it’s all just rumors.

anything is possible, but I doubt this specific course will be sold as its owned by BREC , not a private owner.

City Park makes money. SM and Webb barely make money and I think BC loses money.

Historic City Park makes money and could make more if they wanted.

This is prob a troll post from some BRAF guy but with Sasaki holding the pencil anything is possible regarding the golf courses.

They took Greenwood/clark from 27 to 9. No complaints.

They want to get rid of city.

Reducing or eliminating Webb would be par for their plan.

course was fantastic pre-covid, the golf boom ruined it and rounds are slow as shite without a marshall in sight

I don’t troll and I’m definitely not a BRAF guy. Whatever that is.

It’s an organization that most people including me thought was good for the area but now we are realizing they are good for the people that work there and their network of organizers and supporters. If you don’t like what they are doing you can frick off.
