We’ve all seen what handi-fat is. We just need to do something about it.

My cousin has cerebral palsy and is bound to a wheelchair. A lot of times jackasses will be in the handicapped unloading zone so she can’t even drive her wheelchair down the ramp from her van to get out.

The number of premium parking spots in every parking lot that are designated handicapped parking is roughly 40%.
that is not accurate, lol. Not even close. I can’t tell if you are trolling.

Some of y’all should’ve put these imaginations into your jobs.

It's time to revisit all of it. Including disability.

Parking should be based on weight. The heavier you are, the farther away you park. If you park in the wrong “weight zone”, a spring loaded trap launches you and your car to the back of the parking lot.

I have a family member who is an above the knee amputee and walks pretty darn well with her artificial limb. Not sure you'd notice at a cursory glance. Does she deserve one or not?

No she doesn’t. What difference does the extra 20 yards make? Should be reserved for the severely handicapped.

Saw a woman at academy sports while I was waiting on a curbside delivery park in one and limped inside, then limped halfway back to her car 10 min later and all the sudden straighten up and walk normal

You cannot reform handicap parking,,,,,without changing the ethics of the general public towards doing the right thing. Back to the golden rule taught in first grade rather than sex education. I see nothing that will change the "I do not give a f-ck" part of society that rushes to the close posted parking spot.
Wife is paralyzed below the waist from polio and the best part of a handicap parking spot is the extra door opening width that allows her to transfer to a scooter. Can't do that in normal parking spots. It would be great to have handicap extra wide spots located further away from store entrance where they would not be in competition.

This. Folks milking the system.

The VA is by far the worst of these. It makes me sick to my stomach. Just check out who's driving the next car you see with a 100% VA tag, 50/50 is a 28 year old female.

I am handicapped to the point that if I can't get a spot close enough, I can't get to the store. Once I get to the store I use the shopping cart as a walker. I have too much pride to ride in an electric cart.

I can confirm that there are doctors who sell a note for a handicap hang tag, 20 years ago the rate was $50, not sure what the rate is now. What needs to be done is to cancel the current tags and re-issue with better standards. Some doctors should be audited and punished if caught selling a handicap tag.
