There's nothing wrong with a glass of wine - provided it's good wine. They'll have a wine menu with at least a dozen selections. The wine at an average bar is horrible, it's Barefoot at best and flavored vodka at worst.

I would probably give a friend shite for ordering wine but I wouldn't be serious. I occasionally enjoy the feeling of a sexy silk panty under my work attire so I get where you're coming from.

The issue isn't the wine, wine is great. It's that he's drinking it in front of friends and family. If a man has to enjoy wine, it should be done in private where nobody can judge. Personally I take my wine in the attic or occasionally a hall closet. Like nature intended, just a man alone in a closet enjoying wine......

At my dive bar watering hole, I'm sure they have some wine, but it's probably horrendous.
