Is it safe to assume any guy with a limp wrist is assumed to be gay? Today's youth are metrosexuals and all so...

Good question. A firm handshake is essential in at least all business interactions.

If the interviewer doesn't remember Scruffy, his fricking hand definitely will for the next few days.

Re-reading that post sounds hilarious in the context of this thread.

Scruffy that is a dead fish. Limp wrist is a bend at the wrist with the arm pointing forward.

Nah, it's not that firm handshake. It's the fact that you always speak in the third person that makes you remarkable.

That kind of handshake is equally as bad as the dead fish handshake.

I've never understood the apparent complexity of the human handshake.

Many techies are socially not advanced. They don't realize they are dead fishing. Or not making eye contact. Or whatever. It's not a big deal in their universe. Writing code and figuring out issues is the mode to their version of success, not a good golf game and swapping PIIHB stories and making a sale or a deal.

A dead fish handshake in the right situation can be an awesomely unnerving technique to an unsuspecting victim.
