Is height a curse for women/girls?

Alright LLOTOTS.
This is an honest question
I come from a tall family, even the women. All the men are in the 6'2 to 6'4 range and the women are 5'7 at minimum, but my niece seems poised to outstrip all the women in my family, and most women. At 13, she is 5'10. She might keep growing, but I kind of hope she doesn't. I know girls can be cruel if you're even the slightest bit different, and towering over everyone, including the boys, in your class certainly makes you different.
So, I guess my question is: Is being tall a "handicap" for women socially?

It hasn't been for me. It's a "handicap" in that it invites a lot of strangers to ask me how tall I am, and it's impossible to be inconspicuous/blend in, but it has never once limited my dating prospects.

Nah.
I know a family where everyone on both sides of the family is 6ft 2in and up.
All the women are 6 ft 2in+ with 2 or 3 of them being 6ft 4in or taller.
All of them are very successful.

Yeah all those supermodels are really cursed. Don't know how they make it through the day.
If you're under 5'10" it's basically a non-starter in the modeling world.

Being a tall woman is awesome and has way more pros than cons.
My biggest con about being tall....finding jeans that properly fit my long legs.

I think being a really tall woman is a little like being a really short man in that it greatly reduces the dating pool

Tall and lanky is good, the problem is if you're a woman 5'10" or above, even being of average body build makes it hard to attract men.

All the girls in my family are tall. My cousin is 6'1" and a model her sister 5'10" they do well. Brothers both walked on at Ole Miss, so a lot of height in that family.
