I've been on vacation this entire Holy Week.

I work for a bank....we're never closed on Good Friday. Used to get a half-day off until the heathens running the ship now took it away.

UK and Germany, yes. It's a holiday.

In Canada, it's a normal holiday on the Monday following Easter Sunday.

I work for a bank and we are open Good Friday. We go by Fed holidays and evidently the Feds don’t recognize Good Friday as a holiday. It stinks but what do you do?!

Depends on the position. My position (that ends tomorrow )is completely dependent on settlement systems. If the fed is closed, most of my team can’t move securities and can’t do their job. If a country we cover is open and then someone will need to come in and cover that.

Out of curiosity, when you got off of work on those 1/2 days before the "heathens" took over, did you ever one time go to Mass on Good Friday? Do you now?
