I work for a Canadian based Corp and tomorrow in a paid holiday. Before that I worked for large industrial contractors, 1 we worked, the other it was a paid holiday.

If I had to choose, I'd rather have Good Friday off, in exchange for just about any other holiday, simply because the weather is generally much nicer than other official holiday dates.

It's a Federal holiday. Lots of local businesses ignore it, like Memorial Day.
