Went to the Tortuga music festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, two years ago and saw him there. He was absolutely horrible on the beach. Bunch of fricking love songs. Did not care for his concert at all, but I do like some of his music.
Kenny Chesney came on afterwards and showed him how it's done. Dude absolutely killed it. And I'm not a big country music fan, but I do like coastal music. With Jimmy Buffett gone, Chesney is the king of coastal music.
Church may be better in concert at a normal venue but he was boring AF on the beach.
