Our dog started drinking tons of water and peeing alot. Then started losing weight and hair.

Took him to the vet and ended up having a tape worm and some type of allergic reaction to something.

Shot of Praziquantel and steroids later he's back to normal.

May be something other than diabetes or kidney disease.

Take the dang cat to the vet.

This is why I don't vaccinate my pets anymore. Every cat and dog I know with diabetes has been vaccinated at a very young age.

My little misunderstood boy who broke his cage going to the vet is pre diabetic.
He lost two pounds and is down to 28 lbs. He is also very long.
The vet says he is too fat.
We now got cat feeders that open to his chip inside his skin.
He cannot get into my other cats food as hers opens to her chip.

That could be a lot of things. But at 22lbs, likely diabetes.

Put your cat on a diet. Get a kitten so it’ll have a friend to chase after and get more active. Anything over ten pounds is really unhealthy for a male cat. A 22lb cat is like a 600lb person.

My cat’s vet told us to use Royal Canin satiety support.

Black fur. I don’t know if that matters.

Cats with black fur are typically more prone to diabetes due to eating lots of fried food and menthols.

It was my ex-gfs cat. Dumped her after she had an abortion.

I’ve got an appointment Thursday morning for Meatball. Thank you all for the advice.

I have a 14 year old lab that I just started giving insulin to, twice a day. I'm pretty sure she's been diabetic for at least a year if not longer. Her blood sugar was 665 and normal is like 120. The only difference between pre and post shot is she drinks less water.
