2023 is the year of the rabbit. It’s either him underdog, pink panther or Scooby-Doo

Scrooge McDuck was my comic of choice and he did star in a few cartoons. (Not a fan of the rest of his family)
For guaranteed smiles and at least one laugh out loud: Bugs wins.

That Looney Looney Looney Bugs Bunny Movie in the early 80s stands atop the cartoon mountain top.

He was good. Liked the smart aleck woodpecker best though.

“Best” is so subjective. I like using this Golden Era of animation as the yardstick. The Warner Bros are up there, but the groundwork was laid for the TV animation of the 60s. I’d say Rocky & Bullwinkle would be my “best”. It parodied the Cold War, it ran in prime time so it really pioneered having adult themes mixed in with the kid humor. It was really edgy for the early 60s.

Bugs Bunny and Warner Bros (up to the 1950s) is still the gold standard for toons. Plus Seinfeld was right -- we all also learned culture & classical music from those cartoons.
OTOH, I get the love for SpongeBob. It's hilarious.
