My grandfather signed me up back when I was in college. Never went to a meeting and usually trashed the magazines they'd send me. I think it was a monthly magazine. Grandpa renewed my membership a few times, but I never did once he stopped.
Not sure why he did that since he wasn't all that active in it himself.
My father in law was a member for several years, but said his local chapter has been overtaken by racist wingnuts, so he didn't renew his membership.

Those groups are ridiculous

At least for now in America we are free to belong to any lawful group. You also have the right NOT to belong. The OP wanted to know if anyone was a member. Not opinions as to why not. If the question was about The Knights of Columbus, I have no reason to respond if I am not.

I never stated an opinion. I referred to the question posed by the OP. I won't say that you are an idiot as I do not know you. Why don't you tell us if you belong to the VA, BLM, American Legion,.....by the way, I did not intend to single you out, the responses in general.

Ive been thinking about this....you might want to try again. Their membership roles are getting pretty thin. They've made quite a few concessions recently and hell man if you have direct blood ties to an actual honest to god officer in the continental army then that has to be good enough! Would be for me anyway. super jealous.
