I also want to say that people do not decide to be gay. You can't just up and decide you are going to be sexually attracted to the same sex.

During the development period of a pre-born child (I guess that's what it's called) develops certain sex traits physically, but their hormones develop different than their physical sex traits. Just because that happens, people shouldn't be told they can't live a certain way. If it doesn't interfere with your life in the least bit way, why should anyone care?

It's two different arguments.

One is religious and one is legal.

People are confusing them in this thread.

I’m not against it. But it’s a lifestyle choice...the rest of us shouldn’t have to coddle them and make them feel normal. My favorite word is fa@@ot and I should be allowed to say it without being looked down upon.

Please tell me one way in which a gay marriage has been detrimental to society.

Exactly. Except the gay marriage thing.

Which is funny, because you could legally be married to a man and remain in good standing with the church.

I mean, you would have to refrain from homo sex and all, but the church doesn't recognize the marriage.

It's not maternity leave. It is leave for adoption.

Why? Just because you think it's wrong and there are more gay marriages today than ever before, so you just see it as more "wrong" happening?
