Who do you call?
Hospital, walk-in clinic, personal physicians?

Not happening for you for a while. They will test politicians and celebrities first. Then hospital workers.

Need to test general population.
Get idea of total infection rate.

Then all the idiots claiming
"Mortality is 3.4%! " Can be STFU.

The media will spin it as
"Coronavirus more infectious than previously thought!"

With antibody testing readily available....

quote:

In a German town that became a hot spot of the country’s outbreak in February, about 15 percent of people have been infected; in a Colorado county, the figure stands between 0.4 and 1.5 percent.

Aren't their issues with the reliability of many of these tests? I read that a lot of these tests will show a positive if you have had any coronavirus not just Covid.

Yes it's available, though the reliability is not yet known. That said, there's no harm in getting one as long as you know the results aren't necessarily 10%... I'm thinking about it myself.

There is a lab in Covington doing it for anybody that wants it, no MD referral needed

For a fee of course.

False positives could be a real bitch if people start prancing around town like they're invincible when it's not true.

Worth the risk for something with a 0.5% mortality rate

Social distancing has little to do with mortality rate.

And that's still several million Americans if that single county were representative of America.

Still drives mortality way down.
If average even 3% that's 10 million

A subset of people just want to hear that it was all an overreaction, and that the current data (taken during a period of widespread mitigation procedures) points to us being able to just go back to life as usual tomorrow.

That's just not the case. At all.

If millions are infected that doesn't change response?

There has to be a point (in terms of infection rate) where quarantine/social distancing just cannot work because too many infected.

We were told by a lab in Mandeville that the govt bought up all the tests. They were testing last week but ran out of tests.
