Is a dog throwing up a few times somewhat normal?

Dog has thrown up white foam three times tonight. I feel like dogs will randomly throw up after they eat shite sometimes, but my gf (no pics) is freaking out like we should take him to the ER vet.
He did eat a toy squeaker a few months back and almost died and needed surgery so she is assuming the worst, but is this something I need to run to the vet for?
Obviously if it continues throughout the night I will take him but it’s been like an hour. Maybe I’m just a dumb frick who knows.
Thanks in advance for the shite talking I will receive for this thread and also for any advice given

We were idiots when we first got our lab. Freaked out because she vomited a bunch of times...
Went to the vet and spent about $600 for tests (for anything the vet could sell us to test her for), and some fluid injections + etc (like I said, idiots)
Got fleeced only to find out she was pretty dehydrated. Give your dog some water and wait it out a little bit to see if it recovers.

I would just monitor the dog. If you take it to the vet tonight, they’ll give the dog an anti-nausea drug and run a battery of tests, and they’ll give you a $600 tab to pay.
ETA: TDcline and I must use the same vet.

Still cheaper than an emergency vet visit.

Dogs are stupid and eat stupid shite. Throwing up a few times every now and then is pretty standard. Just monitor and make sure he is eating and drinking and peeing and pooping. If after 24 hours you notice he isn’t doing those (especially pooping) then take to vet. Biggest concern is that there’s intestinal blockage from the activities described in my first sentence, in which case you’ll need that Rx canned dog food that bulks up and grabs everything in the colon and pushes it all out.
But your dog is probably fine.

Probably rabies
Don’t worry, dogs can’t live very long with rabies. It won’t be a problem this time next week

if they do it often its a sign of intestinal blockage or maybe some foreign object got swallowed (surgery time)
if its just a random then he most likely ate something he cant digest

Could be an obstruction or pancreatitis.
No table foods. Dogs cannot process fats like humans.

We are taking him to vet. Hopefully it’s nothing.
Better safe than sorry I guess.
Thanks for the advice everyone.
