It's not a big deal. It's tantamount to bitching that squirrels are passing through your yard. Some people are insufferable douches though.

Like others have already mentioned, I have no problem with cats, but with my large vegetable garden and raised bed, I hate to find cat shite buried when on my hands and knees weeding the damn thing.
Cat crap is so foul.

How is this diff than any other animal roaming out there?

Also, I have dogs that would probably go nuts if they saw a cat in the backyard, so that would be an issue.
And dogs dont go nuts over birds, squirrels, racoons, deer, armadillos, or any other thing that might come through your yard?

I understand that you really can't control an outdoor cat's comings and goings, but you can't complain if someone who prefers it not be on their property takes measures to ensure it wont go there again.
I would hope they use non lethal methods that just discourage it, but your property is your property, baw. And whoever claimed that you dont see cat shite is pretty ignorant of my front garden.

When I lived in Woodlawn Estates, one of my neighbors actually put a bait cage in his backyard to catch cats, which he would then turn over to Cat Haven. One of our cats was caught by him (before we knew he was doing this) and was adopted by someone else. We had signs all over the neighborhood for a missing cat with the description etc. but he never called. One day I was introduced to the “Nextdoor” website and saw some people mention him and his antics, and when I confronted him and gave the description of our cat he admitted that yes, he had caught her and turned her over. When I asked why he ignored our signs his response was, “You shouldn’t have let your cat out; it’s against neighborhood policy.”

If I see a cat in my fenced in backyard, I release my dog.
If I wanted a cat, I would of got a cat. Keep your animals to yourself. I do the same with my dog.
Do the same with any animals back there though.

I don't think anybody cares if any animals are walking around their yard. It's the other things they do that's a problem.
I used to load my trash in my own trailer and take it to the dump. Well, the cat lady down the street like the feed all the cats. So about every 3 days I had to walk around my yard picking up trash.
My mom has some Satsuma trees and the possums get into the tree tear up all the satsumas before they even start coloring up.
In both cases it's a constant battle with pellet guns, trip traps and Aguila Colibri to try to solve the problem caused by people feeding cats

Newsflash, I don't have a cat because I hate them.
Oh and the leash law that demands I keep my dog out of your yard goes for your POS cat as well.

In my old hood, we use to have a problem with the cats getting on top of cars and leaving scratches.
