I understand not all cat people are weird but why are a lot of cat owners weird people? For instance if I meet a girl and she says she has cats I instantly think weird cat lady.

Its a damned cat! Like being mad that a squirrel or raccoon got in there? How can you keep them out? A cat goes where a cat wants.
My grandma with a thick Cajun accented "getttt" and a broom were all that is needed.

I mean, I get not wanting a dog in your backyard. We just moved in a new subdivision and it has a Facebook page. Our cat went missing all day. My wife was checking the page for anyone who had seen him. She noticed quite a bit of bitchN and moanN about an orange cat that keep jumping in this dude’s backyard. She read down and noticed multiple complaints about cats visiting yards. I just don’t see the big deal.
I think we live in the same neighborhood.

Nope, no problem with cats crossing through.....

I like the scratches on my vehicles from cats jumping up on them and walking around, it’s pretty much the reason why I buy a vehicle.

Your F250 don't fit in your garage baw?

Cats should not free roam. For me here is why: paw prints on my vehicles. Pissing in my Jeep. Scratching the soft top on my Jeep. Getting into trash. Shitting in the flower beds. Killing the lizards, birds and baby rabbits I like in my backyard. Keep your animals on your property.
I keep my vehicles in the garage. Do I have to keep the door closed all the time because of your worthless destructive cat?

We are the "cat people" in our neighborhood, but a random cat in the backyard is definitely a problem.
A massive random cat was in my fenced in yard yesterday morning and turns out he injured my cat (who lives indoors and occasionally goes into the fenced in yard to sit in the garden - doesn't leave). I imagine it would have been even worse if my small dog had been out there.

My dog would debate that.
Like I said, my dog would enjoy a cat in our yard, for a little while.

Nah, it’s fits in there with my BMW and Lexus. It’s my 30’ yellowfin and my kids’ Jeep and Gwagon that have to stay outside.

The common misconception is that the cats you see roaming around belong to someone. They come and go over the years, but at one time there were like 9 regular cats we'd see and not a single one belonged to anyone. Some people do have "outdoor" cats but it ins't nearly as common as them simply being stray.
This is why trap-neuter-release is so big in some cities. Sadly, BR doesn't do much to encourage people to participate.
I'm currently trapping a stray who had kittens a couple months ago, so that I can get her fixed and not have to deal with kittens again. Not a single place in BR offers it for free.

I put a fence around my yard for a reason. Keep your mangy, ring worm infested cat in your house or own yard.

Just had my car refinished from cats using it as a sleeping pad. I have placed a few moth balls where they get out of the sun and they found somewhere else to visit.

I have. I used to have 4 cats. I saw where they shite and it was everywhere. Including in the dog's mouth also, since she loved to eat it.

I have one that shits on the roof of my truck. Backyard is the least of my worries

My neighbor’s cat craps in the kids’ play area and buries it in the rubber mulch. The dog gets a hold of it sometimes, leaving me to constantly canvas the area for poop. I got enough crap. Cat feces (especially found in outside cats) can carry parasites and pregnant women are even warned not to go near it. While it may seem “harmless” there are reasons it could be a problem.
That being said, I don’t get on the neighborhood page to complain- I just take care of my backyard.
