i got in a wreck on the way to class this morning and ended up missing the first exam for MGT 3200(Sauley's Class). WOuld anyone here know if i can still make up the test? it says on the syllabus you cant make them up if you dont contact him, though i sent an email right after the wreck happened.

he would have to be a major dickbag to not let you make it up.

No and making up a car wreck to cover your drunkenness is even worse. Couldn't you come up with something better than that

I hope you took pictures or got a police report. Something to prove what happened. Show it to him and explain what happened.

It sounds like a legitimate excuse. You should contact the Dean's Office if your professor tells you to frick off.

Get pictures, police report something to show him that youre not lying. And Sauley is a cool dude. I'd be surprised if he wouldn't let you take it (assuming your story is true)

And I took it this morning. Wasn't that bad imo

im not faking lol. i have a copy of the crash report that the officer gave to me. Im just worried because on the syllabus it says you have to contact them prior to the test and obviously this happened on the way to campus so its really short notice

If you have a police report there is no way he can deny you a make up. If he tries to, I would contact the appropriate dean and let them know.

I've had to miss a test due to a car wreck before...so yes it's a valid excuse.

You don't have anything to worry about. Sauley will do anything to work with you. If it is somewhat believable he will give you the benefit of the doubt.

Edit to add: He shows up to class on test days with wearing eye black, a football jersey, and a helmet while playing eye of the tiger in the Cox Auditorium. He has fun with it and doesn't take himself to serious you will be fine.

Of course they will.

It's undergrad man, you worry too much. I came to an exam thinking it was the review session once, bombed the exam, fessed up to the professor, and he said he understood and let me make the final worth double. Being honest and apologetic is going to get you out of most jams in life.
