There are jobs for which you need a college degree - any college degree. It will help with those. But if you want a high paying job, then no, it won’t help. Get a degree in engineering, accounting, nursing or something like that.

I hear gender studies or diversity studies is a hit now a days, try that.

Not but really, if you have a college degree you are ahead of those that dont. Do what you want to do and do not ask the trolls here for help.

BS. Learn something that will have a use for. A GS is just saying you learn something what you should of learn in high school.

I know a guy who dropped out of college because a great job offer fell into his lap. It never hindered him as he rose through the ranks until he was laid off a couple of years ago. Now any mid to upper managerial job he's otherwise qualified for requires a bachelor's if not a masters. And nobody will hire him for a job that doesn't require a degree because they know he'll bolt asap. So he sits at home and lives off his wife's salary.
