Laco has some nice watches in the $350 range. Make sure to get one with a sapphire crystal and automatic movement.

Man I wish I could convince myself to splurge and get a laco. Hard to justify with two kids though.

Where would I look at used watches? Also for reference I wear a G-shock Mudman 3031 daily which on the website says the specs are 46.3mm and it doesn't look that big on my wrist.
