Now? No.

At 18-20? Yes.

And I'm glad I didn't get it then.

Would not have made good choices.

A trip to Miami or Vegas with 100k would’ve been the end of me in my 20s

If your net worth isn’t 1million it’s close to life changing IMO.
Regardless of age
So many factors to consider debt free, mortgage free. Kids out of college etc

Even if you had 80k in debt you write checks. Become debt free 20k in emergency fund.

Plus now you have all the minimum payment money in your budget.

You have control IMO

Define life changing. It depends on how its managed. It can be used to pay off a few things and then use it to pay monthly bills for however long depending on what you have left which would allow you to save more, but if someone goes out and buys a brand new car and takes an expensive vacation its a temporary change.

That’s why I said it’s all about where each individual is at in life. If someone is living paycheck to paycheck making 50k a year, it’s much more impactful than someone making 500k-1 mil a year.

I drove up to Vegas from Phoenix 20 years ago when I was 22. It was for a buddies wedding and probably spent a couple hundred bucks for two nights. Stayed at the Circus Circus and it probably took me weeks worth of work to pay it off.

100k in Vegas back then would have been nuts. Hell 100k in Vegas now would be wild.

Not at all… bragging on how well off you are on a message board seems a bit childish.

I’m not bragging, I’m sharing my perspective on the conversation. You’ve made how many posts tonight discussing wrestling? And I’m childish? How is anything I said bragging?

Subtle brag much????

Not really. The older you get and the more time you have to save makes 100k not seem as much. 100k when I joined tiger droppings and moved to Baton Rouge in 2011 would have been life changing. I’ve bought and sold two houses since then and made a decent amount of money so 100k wouldn’t change much for me right now.

It was a lot more life changing 50 years ago

Yeah. For example, I’d turn the $100,000 into $100,000,000 within 2 years by winning at sports betting.

I’m not sure why he’s lashing out at certain posters. It’s not bragging, it’s just reality. Some people on this board are at a stage of life where 100k isn’t life changing. 5 years ago it would’ve been for me. Thankfully my business grew exponentially and we are blessed beyond measure.

Saying 100k isn’t life changing because of current circumstances isn’t bragging.

No. You'll just continue to create debt.

$100,000 in $1-$10 scratchoffs or powerball. Foolproof ROI right?
