Speaking only for driving in Houston, most of the major freeways have 4-5 lanes. Funny thing is that most vehicles head for the left 2 lanes. You make much better time driving in the 2 right lanes due to less vehicles being in those lanes.
As for I 10 in Louisiana where there is only 2 lanes, just accept the fact that you will only average about 60, chill out, relax and try to prevent the coronary event.

Well ya, because that way I can just cruise while I talk on my phone and not have to worry about merging traffic.
My phone conversation is far more important than following the law or not being a massive inconvenience to everyone around me.

It's funny, nothing pisses me off more than left lane drivers. If it's a hot chick though when I pass I always seem to forgive her.
