USA Today
thats funny. i thought the terrorist's employer bought the phone.

But the hateful duo didn't actually kill anyone with an Apple product. For the acts of religiously-motivated executions themselves, they used firearms. Their semi-automatics and other weapons were of a kind sold in stores in cities and towns across America.
Therein lies the genesis of Apple's legal troubles.
The federal government has had limited and inconsistent success in forcing gun manufacturers to put safety features on their weapons.
Remember the automatic-weapons ban? Law-abiding, gun-carrying citizens and criminals alike can still get those easily at gun shows and firearms dealers.
Since the Obama administration has failed to convince the other two branches of government to both pass and enforce laws that would help prevent terrorists from getting guns, it's now coming after arguably the most innovative company in the land, because Apple's encryption is so good even terrorists buy its products.

i mean is he wrong? apple didn't pull the trigger, the gun dealer did.

First of all - neither rifle used in SB was "automatic." One was a failed conversion and if that conversion had been successful, would have been a serious federal felony.
Second of all - one can buy propane tanks, fertilizer, automobiles - all across this nation with little, if any, regulation - particularly if one is patient and collects the material over time (as this couple did with their arsenal). What those things can't be used for very easily, that a rifle or pistol can be, is to defend oneself as contemplated by natural law and the 2nd Amendment.
Third - the couple ignored a whole bunch of laws. California's ugly gun ban was just one of them.

He definitely knows much more about phones than he does about guns.

You mean the gun dealer that sold their buddy the weapon that then broke the law and gave it to the terrorists.

The author of the article says you can just go down to Walmarks. And he writes for USA today so he's got to be smart.

Was a dumbed down newspaper when it came out.
Has gotten dumber along with society in general.

And yet they haven't tried to ban pressure cookers like the one used in the Boston Marathon bombing. I guess that doesn't fit their agenda.

Step 1: Get a Class 3 license
Step 2: Go to a gun show, present license, pick up any automatic weapon you like (assuming you've got the $$$ because they are NOT cheap)
:THE MORE YOU KNOW:

Exactly... Like I've said before for the cost of 1 AR and a 100 rounds ..One could take a trip to home depot and a fireworks stand and cause way more carnage...
